- Appraisal: A determination of property value.
- Personal estate: shall include all property other than real estate. See
- Town: shall include city and wards or precincts therein; "selectboard members" and "board of civil authority" shall extend to and include the mayor and aldermen of cities; "trustees" shall extend to and include bailiffs of incorporated villages; and the laws applicable to the inhabitants and officers of towns shall be applicable to the inhabitants and similar officers of all municipal corporations. § 4158. Loss or destruction of grand list
When the grand list of a town becomes lost or destroyed, the listers shall at once make a new appraisal of all taxable property in such town and return the same to the office of the town clerk within 60 days from such appraisal in the manner provided for the appraisal of real and personal estate.
