Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 24-A Sec. 472

  • insurers: as used in this subchapter shall include corporations, interinsurers, associations, societies and orders as well as partnerships and individual agents representing such organizations. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 24-A Sec. 475
During the period of any insurance emergency described in section 471, the superintendent has power to make, amend or rescind such rules and regulations governing the business of any insurers as the superintendent considers expedient in order to adopt and maintain sound methods of protecting the interests of insurer, insureds, beneficiaries or the public.
