Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 28-A Sec. 353
- Liquor: means spirits, wine, malt liquor or hard cider, or any substance containing liquor, intended for human consumption, that contains more than 1/2 of 1% of alcohol by volume. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 28-A Sec. 2
- Spirits: means any liquor produced by distillation or, if produced by any other process, strengthened or fortified by the addition of spirits of any kind. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 28-A Sec. 2
Agency liquor stores may be open for the sale and delivery of spirits as provided in section 4, subsection 1 in municipalities that have voted in favor of the sale of spirits for off-premises consumption under local option provisions and in unincorporated places where the sale of liquor for off-premises consumption has been authorized by the county commissioners under section 122. Notwithstanding any local option decisions to the contrary, agency liquor stores may be open from 5 a.m. Sunday to 1 a.m. the following day. [PL 2021, c. 658, §65 (AMD).]
