Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 32 Sec. 11052

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
Any appeal from the decision of the superintendent may be taken in accordance with Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter VII. [PL 1985, c. 702, §2 (NEW).]
