As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise indicates, the following terms have the following meanings. [PL 2009, c. 372, Pt. B, §3 (NEW).]
1. Administrative costs. “Administrative costs” means costs of the trust in carrying out its responsibilities under this chapter, including, but not limited to, costs of:

Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 35-A Sec. 10102

  • Alternative energy resources: means nonfossil fuel energy resources, including, but not limited to, biomass, wood, wood pellets and solar, wind or geothermal resources. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 35-A Sec. 10102
  • Beneficial electrification: means electrification of a technology or process that results in reduction in the use of a fossil fuel, including electrification of a technology or process that would otherwise require energy from a fossil fuel, and that provides a benefit to a utility, a ratepayer or the environment, without causing harm to utilities, ratepayers or the environment, by improving the efficiency of the electricity grid or reducing consumer costs or emissions, including carbon emissions.   • Board: means the Efficiency Maine Trust Board. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 35-A Sec. 10102

  • Forward capacity market: means the program established by the regional transmission organization that is in effect on the effective date of this subsection and compensates providers of electrical capacity with payments for the availability or reduction of capacity as determined by the regional transmission organization.   • Program funds: means any of the funds established pursuant to this chapter, other than the administration fund, to fund Efficiency Maine Trust programs. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 35-A Sec. 10102
  • Regional transmission organization: means the independent systems operator that administers and oversees the wholesale electricity markets in which the State participates. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 35-A Sec. 10102
  • Triennial plan: means the plan required under section 10104, subsection 4. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 35-A Sec. 10102
  • Trust: means the Efficiency Maine Trust established in section 10103. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 35-A Sec. 10102
  • 2. Administration fund. “Administration fund” means the administration fund established pursuant to section 10103, subsection 5.
