The State Geologist shall advise the Governor and the Legislature on the suitability of areas of the State for low-level waste disposal. In determining suitability, the State Geologist shall consider final rules for facility siting under Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 61, and other rules, as appropriate.
