As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise indicates, the following terms have the following meanings. [PL 1993, c. 706, Pt. A, §4 (NEW).]
1. Board of trustees. “Board of trustees” means the Board of Trustees of the Maine School of Science and Mathematics.

- Board of trustees: means the Board of Trustees of the Maine School of Science and Mathematics. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 20-A Sec. 8203
- Department: means the Department of Education. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 20-A Sec. 1
- Magnet school: means that the school may establish rules and regulations that delete, modify or add to current rules and regulations of the department. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 20-A Sec. 8203
- School: means the Maine School of Science and Mathematics. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 20-A Sec. 8203
- School administrative unit: means the state-approved unit of school administration and includes a municipal school unit, school administrative district, community school district, regional school unit or any other municipal or quasi-municipal corporation responsible for operating or constructing public schools, except that it does not include a career and technical education region. - Sending school: means any school administrative unit that has a student in attendance at the Maine School of Science and Mathematics. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 20-A Sec. 8203
2. Magnet school. “Magnet school” means that the school may establish rules and regulations that delete, modify or add to current rules and regulations of the department.
