Sections 103F.301 to 103F.345 do not preclude a river in the state system from becoming a part of the federal wild and scenic rivers system as established in the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, Public Law 90-542; United States Code, title 16, § 1271 et seq., as amended. The commissioner is authorized to seek, alone or in conjunction with other governmental authorities, financial and technical assistance from the federal government and to enter into written cooperative agreements for the joint administration of a river in the federal wild and scenic rivers system.
