7-13-2101. Authority to permit construction of utility mains. The board of county commissioners shall have the power and authority to grant to any person, association, or corporation the right to construct and maintain in, along, and under any public road or highway within a county, within any county easements, on or within any county-owned property, within any county utility corridor, and within any county right-of-way any pipeline for the conveyance of natural or artificial gas, water, broadband infrastructure, or any other substance for the use of any county, city, or town or its inhabitants.

- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Person: includes a corporation or other entity as well as a natural person. See Montana Code 1-1-201
- Property: means real and personal property. See Montana Code 1-1-205
