71-3-111. Creation of lien not a personal obligation. The creation of a lien does not itself imply that any person is bound to perform the act for which the lien is a security.
Terms Used In Montana Code 71-3-111
- Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
- Person: includes a corporation or other entity as well as a natural person. See Montana Code 1-1-201
