72-6-417. Prior executed and recorded beneficiary deed. Any beneficiary deed that was executed and recorded prior to October 1, 2019, and which complied with the law in effect when it was recorded, shall be deemed to be a transfer on death deed for the purposes of this part.
Terms Used In Montana Code 72-6-417
- Beneficiary: A person who is entitled to receive the benefits or proceeds of a will, trust, insurance policy, retirement plan, annuity, or other contract. Source: OCC
- Beneficiary: means a person that receives property under a transfer on death deed. See Montana Code 72-6-402
- Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
- Transfer on death deed: means a deed authorized under this part. See Montana Code 72-6-402
