Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 17:2152

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.

In order to obtain ready funds for the purposes authorized in La. Rev. Stat. 17:2151, the board of education may borrow money and, as evidence thereof, issue negotiable bonds or other obligations of the board, not to exceed six million dollars.  These bonds may be issued at one time or from time to time, in the discretion of the board.
