The Secretary of State shall not register a foreign limited partnership whose name does not meet the requirements of ORS § 70.010 (1)(c) unless the foreign limited partnership states its name on its application as (name of limited partnership), a limited partnership of (place of registration), which shall be the ‘real and true name’ of the limited partnership. Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 70.365
- Foreign limited partnership: means a partnership formed under laws other than the laws of this state and having as partners one or more general partners and one or more limited partners. See Oregon Statutes 70.005
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
