Oregon Statutes 97.840 – Cemetery authority authorized to receive and hold gifts of property; disposition of gifts
A cemetery authority which has established an endowment care fund may take, receive and hold any property, real, personal or mixed, bequeathed, devised, granted, given or otherwise contributed to it for its endowment care fund. Within 30 days of the receipt of such contributions, the cemetery authority shall deposit, with the trustee or custodian of the fund to which the property was contributed, all moneys and all documents or instruments of title or conveyance evidencing the contribution. As soon as practicable, the cemetery authority shall provide for the sale of all property for fair market value and, within 30 days of the receipt of the proceeds thereof, shall deposit the proceeds with the trustee or custodian. The trustee or custodian shall execute all documents necessary to effect the sale, consistent with the purposes of this section. [Amended by 1987 c.295 § 4]
