Illegal conduct by the State Treasury or any of its employees or agents shall not be a defense for any person charged with the crime of public investment fraud or to any person against whom any civil action is brought under ORS § 30.862 and 162.117 to 162.121. [1993 c.768 § 2]

Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 162.118

  • Fraud: Intentional deception resulting in injury to another.
  • Person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
  • State Treasury: includes those financial assets the lawful custody of which are vested in the State Treasurer and the office of the State Treasurer relating to the custody of those financial assets. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
