(1) ORS § 250.165 to 250.235 carry out the provisions of section 10, Article VI, Oregon Constitution, and shall apply to the exercise of initiative or referendum powers regarding a county measure, unless the county charter or ordinance provides otherwise.

Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 250.155

  • Measure: includes any of the following submitted to the people for their approval or rejection at an election:

    (a) A proposed law. See Oregon Statutes 250.005

(2) ORS § 250.165 to 250.235 apply to the exercise of initiative or referendum powers regarding a county measure in a county that has not adopted a charter under section 10, Article VI, Oregon Constitution. [1979 c.190 § 153]
