(1) Unless authorized by the State Treasurer, the state government, as defined in ORS § 174.111, may not accept payments using cryptocurrency.
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 291.730
- state government: means the executive department, the judicial department and the legislative department. See Oregon Statutes 174.111
(2) As used in this section, ‘cryptocurrency’ means digital or virtual currency that relies on cryptography to effect transfers and a decentralized network to record transactions. [2019 c.50 § 1]
