(1) As used in this section, ‘classified school employee’ includes all employees of a school district except those for whom a teaching or administrative license is required as a basis for employment in a school district.

- School district: means a common or union high school district. See Oregon Statutes 332.002
(2) A classified school employee shall have the right to be dismissed, demoted or disciplined only for just cause.
(3) School district employees subject to the civil service provisions of ORS § 242.310 to 242.640 are exempt from the provisions of this section. [Formerly 342.663; 2023 c.592 § 18]
