Oregon Statutes 344.630 – Gifts for rehabilitation purposes
The Department of Human Services may receive and accept such gifts, donations and other funds from either public or private sources as may be offered unconditionally or under such conditions as in the judgment of the department are proper and consistent with the provisions of ORS § 344.511 to 344.690 and 344.710 to 344.730. Gifts so accepted shall be held in trust for investment, reinvestment and use in accordance with the conditions of the gift. Such moneys shall be deposited in the State Treasury to the credit of the State Vocational Rehabilitation Account. [Amended by 1967 c.552 § 9]

- Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
- State Treasury: includes those financial assets the lawful custody of which are vested in the State Treasurer and the office of the State Treasurer relating to the custody of those financial assets. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
