(1) The provisions of this chapter are intended to carry out the purposes of Article XI-A of the Oregon Constitution. The Legislative Assembly recognizes that its authority to define the scope and purpose of this chapter is limited by the purposes expressed in Article XI-A.

Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 407.075

  • Acquisition: means the purchase, improvement or refinancing of a home or farm or the payment of down payments or closing costs for such purposes. See Oregon Statutes 407.085

(2) The primary purpose of this chapter is to provide loan funds to qualifying Oregon veterans for the acquisition of farms and homes. The Legislative Assembly does not intend, by any past or present enactment, to establish as a principal purpose of this chapter the providing of subsidized energy financing.
