When a local health department or the Oregon Health Authority learns of a case or suspected case of an infectious disease which may have exposed a worker to risk of infection, the local health department or the authority shall make every reasonable effort to notify the worker and employer of the exposure as soon as medically appropriate given the urgency of the disease or suspected disease. Notification shall include recommendations to the worker and employer that are medically appropriate. [1989 c.949 § 4; 2009 c.595 § 672]
