During a disease outbreak, as defined in ORS § 431A.005, the Public Health Director may authorize pharmacists licensed under ORS Chapter 689 to administer vaccines to persons who are three years of age or older for a specified period of time if the Public Health Director determines that such authorization is necessary to protect the public’s health. 433.444 was added to and made a part of 433.110 to 433.770 by legislative action but was not added to any smaller series therein. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
