(1) The superintendent of each state institution shall submit quarterly reports on the number of deaths, including the ages of the deceased, the causes of death and the disposition of the remains, within the institution to the Department of Corrections or the Oregon Health Authority, as the case may be, having jurisdiction over the institution.
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 179.509
- Institution: means the institutions designated in ORS § 179. See Oregon Statutes 179.010
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
