After the date and other election details have been determined, the governing body of each of the cities shall enact an ordinance calling an election as required by this section and ORS § 222.250 for the purposes specified. A copy of the ordinance shall be filed with the county clerk of each county in which any territory included in the proposed consolidation lies.
