(1) The State Department of Geology and Mineral Industries shall establish the parameters of the area of expected tsunami inundation based on scientific evidence that may include geologic field data and tsunami modeling.

- Department: means the Department of Consumer and Business Services. See Oregon Statutes 455.010
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
(2) The governing board of the State Department of Geology and Mineral Industries, by rule, shall determine the tsunami inundation zone based on the parameters established by the department. [1995 c.617 § 2; 2005 c.22 § 329; 2007 c.354 § 31; 2019 c.502 § 2]
