The lapse, suspension or revocation of a license by operation of law, by order of the Oregon Board of Optometry or by decision of a court of law, or the voluntary surrender of a license by a licensee, shall not deprive the board of jurisdiction to proceed with any investigation of or any action or disciplinary proceeding against the licensee, or to revise or render null and void an order suspending or revoking the license. Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 683.278

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

 

683.278 was added to and made a part of ORS Chapter 683 by legislative action but was not added to any smaller series therein. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
