Terms Used In Kansas Statutes > Chapter 12 > Article 59 - City Land Banks
- Bank: means the city land bank established pursuant to this act. See Kansas Statutes 12-5901
- Board: means the board of trustees of the city land bank. See Kansas Statutes 12-5901
- City: means any city. See Kansas Statutes 12-5901
- Devise: To gift property by will.
- Fee simple: Absolute title to property with no limitations or restrictions regarding the person who may inherit it.
- Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
- Governing body: means the governing body of the city. See Kansas Statutes 12-5901
- Municipality: means any city, county or other political or taxing subdivision which has the power to levy special assessments. See Kansas Statutes 12-5901
- Property: includes personal and real property. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
- Quorum: The number of legislators that must be present to do business.
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
