Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 12-869

  • City: means any city in this state. See Kansas Statutes 12-870
  • Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.

Any city of the second class which has, pursuant to the provisions of article 8 of chapter 12 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, and any amendments thereto, authorized the issuance of general obligation bonds of the city for the making of waterworks improvements and held a bond election therefor prior to July 1, 1973, and a majority of the legal electors voting on the question voted in favor of the issuance of bonds in an amount not to exceed one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000), is hereby authorized to issue such bonds notwithstanding the fact that insufficient time elapsed in the giving of notice by publication concerning the holding of such election under the general bond law, and all proceedings thereunder and all bonds issued pursuant thereto are hereby validated and confirmed.
