- City attorney: means any attorney who represents the city in the prosecution of an accused person for the violation of a city ordinance. See Kansas Statutes 12-4113
- Prosecute: To charge someone with a crime. A prosecutor tries a criminal case on behalf of the government.
The city attorney, in person or by assistants, shall prosecute all causes in the municipal court.
