- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
If any section, subsection, paragraph or provision of this act shall be held to be invalid by any court for any reason, it shall be conclusively presumed that this act would have been passed by the legislature without such invalid section, subsection, paragraph or provision and such finding or construction shall not in any way affect the remainder of this act.
