- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
The acceptance by the claimant of any payment made pursuant to this act shall be final and conclusive and shall constitute a complete release of any claim against the state. Otherwise, the claimant shall proceed with a claim against the state as provided by Kan. Stat. Ann. § 46-913, and amendments thereto.
