Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 50-6,130
- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
- Person: means any individual, corporation, government, governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, cooperative or other legal entity. See Kansas Statutes 50-624
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
Within 60 calendar days from the date of application, the attorney general shall either issue or deny the roofing contractor registration certificate. No registration certificate shall be issued to an applicant until the attorney general receives all documentation and fees necessary to obtain a registration certificate. The registration certificate issued on an original application entitles the person to act as a roofing contractor within this state, subject to the limitations of this act, until the expiration of the then current fiscal year ending June 30, except that an initial registration certificate issued in May or June is valid until June 30 of the subsequent year.
