Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 65-3408

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Person: means individual, partnership, firm, trust, company, association, corporation, individual or individuals having controlling or majority interest in a corporation, institution, political subdivision, state agency or federal department or agency. See Kansas Statutes 65-3402
  • Secretary: means the secretary of health and environment. See Kansas Statutes 65-3402
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

All state institutions and agencies shall obtain a permit from the secretary under the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 65-3407 and shall also comply with all other provisions of this act: Provided further, That such institutions and agencies may contract with any person, city, county, other political subdivision or state agency to carry out their responsibilities under the act.
