Notwithstanding the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 74-4913 to the contrary, any employee of a participating employer who first became a member of the Kansas public employees retirement system on July 1, 1963, following the employer’s entry date January 1, 1962, and was employed by another participating employer from May 24, 1951, through June 1, 1962, shall on and after the effective date of this act be granted service credit for all service with a participating employer prior to June 1, 1962, whether or not continuous.
