Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 75-5152
- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
- Secretary: means the secretary of revenue or the secretary's designee. See Kansas Statutes 75-5173
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
On or before each December 1, the secretary of revenue shall determine the amount of the total revenues received by the secretary from the taxes imposed pursuant to articles 36 and 37 ofchapter 79 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, and amendments thereto and deposited in the state treasury and credited to the state general fund during the preceding fiscal year, which are attributable to the retail sale of aviation fuel.
