The port director shall approve an application for authorization as carriers of bonded merchandise and the bond filed, authorizing the applicant to act as a carrier of bonded merchandise provided he is satisfied that:

Terms Used In 19 CFR 112.13

  • port director: means the person who has jurisdiction within the geographical boundaries of their port of entry unless the regulations provide that particular trade functions or determinations are exclusively within the purview of a Center Director or other CBP personnel. See 19 CFR 101.1

(a) The amount of the bond is sufficient.

(b) All documents required by this subpart have been furnished and are in proper form; and

(c) The fee prescribed has been paid.
