18 USC 933 – Trafficking in firearms
(a)
(1) ship, transport, transfer, cause to be transported, or otherwise dispose of any firearm to another person in or otherwise affecting interstate or foreign commerce, if such person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the use, carrying, or possession of a firearm by the recipient would constitute a felony (as defined in section 932(a));
(2) receive from another person any firearm in or otherwise affecting interstate or foreign commerce, if the recipient knows or has reasonable cause to believe that such receipt would constitute a felony; or
(3) attempt or conspire to commit the conduct described in paragraph (1) or (2).
Terms Used In 18 USC 933
- firearm: means (A) any weapon (including a starter gun) which will or is designed to or may readily be converted to expel a projectile by the action of an explosive. See 18 USC 921
- foreign commerce: as used in this title , includes commerce with a foreign country. See 18 USC 10
- interstate or foreign commerce: includes commerce between any place in a State and any place outside of that State, or within any possession of the United States (not including the Canal Zone) or the District of Columbia, but such term does not include commerce between places within the same State but through any place outside of that State. See 18 USC 921
