  • System: A combination of interacting or interdependent components, assembled to carry out one or more functions. See Florida Regulations 61-30.101
    (2) For purposes of Florida Statutes § 468.8313 “”nationally recognized entity”” means an organization that has national recognition in the home inspection industry and offers programs or sets standards that ensure the competence as a home inspector.
    (3) Standards for approval of examination:
    (a) The examination is proctored; and
    (b) The examination covers the following systems and components of a home: the structure, electrical system, HVAC system, roof covering, plumbing system, interior components, exterior components, and site conditions, that affect the structure.
    (4) The fees for examination and re-examination shall be determined by the vendor and paid by the applicant directly to the vendor providing the examination for licensure.
