The purpose of this chapter is to implement the provisions of Florida Statutes § 409.8135, by setting forth uniform procedures and standards for providing behavioral health services to non-Medicaid eligible children with special health care needs who are enrolled in the Title XXI part of the KidCare Program with regard to; the scope of behavioral health services including duration and frequency, clinical guidelines for referral to behavioral health services, behavioral health services standards, performance-based measures and outcomes for behavioral health services, and practice guidelines for behavioral health services to ensure cost-effective treatment and to prevent unnecessary expenditures.
