Terms Used In Alabama Code 34-15-14

If the liability of a hotel is not otherwise eliminated or limited or varied under the provisions of Section contract between hotel and guest” class=”unlinked-ref” datatype=”S” sessionyear=”2020″ statecd=”AL” title=”34″>34-15-11 or 34-15-13, its liability for any loss, damage, or destruction of any property of a guest, by theft or otherwise, shall in no event and under no circumstances or conditions exceed the sum of $5,000, whether or not such hotel has complied with the provisions of this chapter. The word “property” as used in this section shall mean and include valuables and all other items belonging to a guest except baggage as is defined in Section 34-15-15.
