Under the Hawaii Revised Statutes, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:| Class | Prison | Fine |

| misdemeanor | up to 1 year | $2,000 |
| petty misdemeanor | up to 30 days | up to $1,000 |
Unless otherwise provided herein, any person who knowingly, intentionally or wilfully violates any section of this chapter shall be guilty of a petty misdemeanor.
