Under the Hawaii Revised Statutes, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:Class | Prison | Fine |

petty misdemeanor | up to 30 days | up to $1,000 |
Any person who violates § 264-101 is guilty of a petty misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than $1,000 or imprisoned not more than thirty days, or both.
