Terms Used In Hawaii Revised Statutes 383-31
- Benefits: means the money payments payable to an individual, as provided in this chapter, with respect to the individual's unemployment. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 383-1
- Department: means the department of labor and industrial relations. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 383-1
- Employer: means :
(1) Any employing unit which for some portion of a day within the current calendar year has or had in employment one or more individuals; and
(2) For the effective period of its election pursuant to section 383-77, any other employing unit which has elected to become subject to this chapter. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 383-1
Each employer shall post and maintain in places readily accessible to individuals in the employer’s employ printed statements concerning benefit rights, claims for benefits, and such other matters relating to the administration of this chapter as the department of labor and industrial relations may by regulation prescribe. Each employer shall supply to such individuals copies of such printed statements or other materials relating to claims for benefits when and as the department may by regulation prescribe. Such printed statements and other materials shall be supplied by the department to each employer without cost to the employer.
