Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 730 ILCS 110/16.2

  • Month: means a calendar month, and the word "year" a calendar year unless otherwise expressed; and the word "year" alone, is equivalent to the expression "year of our Lord. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.10
  • Probation: A sentencing alternative to imprisonment in which the court releases convicted defendants under supervision as long as certain conditions are observed.
     A probation officer supervising a person who has been placed on probation for a sex offense as defined in the Sex Offender Management Board Act shall periodically, but not less than once a month, verify that the person is in compliance with paragraph (8.6) of subsection (a) of § 5-6-3 of the Unified Code of Corrections.
