- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
The Court of Claims may, after a hearing, make an award to a person who has filed an application or any other person it finds is entitled to compensation, including the guardian or conservator of a minor or incompetent, based upon the application, the other information and materials submitted with the application, and the report of the Attorney General.
