Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 745 ILCS 25/11
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
If any section or part of any section of this Act is held unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, all other sections or parts of sections shall remain in full force and effect.
