Except as specifically recognized by or provided in Section 6 of this Act, an owner of land who permits without charge any person to use such property for recreational or conservation purposes does not thereby:
         (a) Extend any assurance that the premises are safe
    
for any purpose.
        (b) (Blank).

    The changes to this Section made by this amendatory Act of the 98th General Assembly apply only to causes of action accruing on or after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 98th General Assembly.
