  • Forgery: The fraudulent signing or alteration of another's name to an instrument such as a deed, mortgage, or check. The intent of the forgery is to deceive or defraud. Source: OCC
     Any person who shall in connection with any application or examination before the Department file, or attempt to file, with the Department as their own, the diploma or license of another, shall be sentenced therefor as the law shall prescribe at the time for forgery.
