- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
No license shall be issued by the Department to any corporation that (i) has a stated purpose that includes, or (ii) practices or holds itself out as available to practice, optometry or any of the functions described in Section 3 of the Act.
