The Director may temporarily suspend the license of a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant without a hearing, simultaneously with the institution of proceedings for a hearing provided for in Section 19 of this Act, if the Director finds that evidence in his possession indicates that a physical therapist’s or a physical therapist assistant’s continuation in practice would constitute an imminent danger to the public. In the event that the Director suspends, temporarily, the license of a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant without a hearing, a hearing by the Board must be held within 30 calendar days after such suspension has occurred.
